Dinghy & Stuff

Captain Joe Leclair has delivered an 8 foot dinghy and 3.3HP Mercury outboard to Birchfield beach. Hopefully the engine is in good shape still from being winterized a few years back. If so, getting to the boat should not be an issue from here on out. On another note, hoisting the mainsail has destroyed my back. Not sure if the mainsail needs new cars to run on the track, or if there is something else going on. For the time being, I might need to learn how to properly reef the mainsail. The halyard goes up just fine when not attached to the sail. Also, my silicone marine sealant touchups don’t appear to have stopped some leaks into the cabin (Nothing major). I suppose my first attempt at boat maintenance wouldn’t be perfect.

Mooring

Satori is on her new mooring deep in the harbor. It’s actually a good location, aside from getting there. Might need to suck it up and get a dinghy with a little engine. If we’re gonna do this, we might as well do it right, eh?

Boat stuff

Got boat re-registered in my name today. The new title with my name on it will be mailed to me in a month. Concordia is paid for a mooring through Oct 31st. The Dartmouth Harbormaster is paid his waterways fee. Need to choose a boat yard to store her at for the winter still. Thinking Bayline Boatyard in New Baige if the wait list BS comes through.
